About Online Dating

As I grow older, I become more and more skeptical about love. Online dating, in particular, feels like a waste of time and energy. It is filled with meaningless conversations and even a lot of false greetings, which makes one full of doubt and self-doubt. This is all due to the lack of trust between both parties. This may be related to age. When I was studying, QQ was the most popular communication tool, and its cost was much more affordable than sending text messages. We didn't have WeChat back then, but every time we went online, there would be reminders and greetings from people we hadn't seen in a long time. We were our true selves back then. We would speak our hearts out to them. They included familiar classmates and friends, as well as familiar strangers on the other end of the internet. As we grew older and stepped out of campus and into society, we gradually learned to hide the truth and tell lies to others. As a result, we started to doubt others and even our own words. Online dating became even more difficult, although the cost of online dating is not as high as it used to be, it just doesn't feel like there is any emotion involved anymore. Maybe we have become more indifferent as we grow older.
